I'm between fandoms at the moment so I suppose I'm getting my fanfic fix by reading romance. This is pretty decent: strong, authentically human characters bound by the very real constraints of their historical period. Honestly I wish there was more Marxism in it? But other than that The Duchess War was a good read.
