Explaining what I loved about THE GOLEM'S EYE would require spoilers, so I'll just say that if you liked the first book in the series but kind of wished Nathaniel was less of a prat and the magicians in the government weren't so arrogant and awful, you will really like the direction this book goes (although neither of those things actually changes...). I found myself wishing I had more chores to do around the house just so I could keep listening to the audiobook, and I'm already halfway through the next book in the series because I Just Can't Stop Reading.
