I know multiple people--people who read, and I mean READ spec fic and fantasy in particular--who say The Thief is one of their all-time favorites. I'm not among them. It's possible I need to read the next in the series, and maybe someday I'll get around to it. Right now I'm just kind of meh about the whole thing.
